I'll never forget the night Madison sat at our kitchen table to share her decision to teach after graduate school. She was grateful for her excellent education and said she wanted to help make it possible for others to receive the same.
Her years as a tenth-grade English teacher were dedicated to working with at-risk students in L.A. who would probably never have had a shot at college on their own. The neighborhood was scrappy, her fellow teachers equally dedicated, and the days were long. She dreams that the kids who were in her classroom will someday go home to their parents after college to share their desire to do the same. We couldn't possibly be more proud of her!
