Linda Fowler, a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional, was born and raised in Ithaca, New York. Though her family had deep ties to Cornell University, she chose to head south for college, leaving behind the cold winters to follow her passion for nursing at Duke University.
Upon graduating, Linda embarked on a lifelong career of service and care. For 30+ years, she worked as a registered nurse in the Gynecologic Oncology chemotherapy infusion room at UNC, where she became a pillar of strength and support for patients, families, and colleagues alike.
Linda’s commitment to her patients went far beyond administering treatment—she provided comfort, reassurance, and unwavering care during some of their most challenging moments. Known for her calm, efficient, and compassionate demeanor, she navigated even the most urgent and high-stress situations with grace, always ensuring that every patient felt seen, heard, and supported.
Her dedication to helping others has left a lasting impact on those she served, making her not just a skilled nurse but a source of hope and healing for so many.
